This outstanding, creative person will be involved in the concept, illustration, 3D creation and catalog design for the interactive clothing and furniture found in Club Penguin’s online virtual world. Fantastic ideas for developing the final designs will be expressed, shared and expanded upon in an open team environment and then built into a design document.

*This is a full time role with relocation coverage.

Responsibilities:

- Art creation using Adobe Flash (primarily) and Swift 3D to create illustrations and 3D model sprites to be constructed within a catalog format.

- Participate in Flash tutorials, sketching, animation, practice, and exercises to learn and enhance skills, develop expertise, and grow professionally.

- Write and update design documents and fix bugs as reported or assigned.

- Participate in meetings and collaborative discussions to plan future additions to the Club Penguin virtual world.

Qualifications:

- Formal art education diploma.

- Art portfolio required including Club Penguin penguin art examples.

- 2-5 years experience creating vector illustrations in Flash.

- Solid background in traditional art, illustration, graphic art, and hand drawing.

- 3D program knowledge required.

- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Flash) and Swift 3D v6 (or other 3D program) required.

- Experience with business software including Microsoft Outlook and collaboration software including wikis.

- Fluent in English.

This person will develop frameworks and tools for new mini-games running in Club Penguin, mentor other team members, and build libraries of code for use by others in the company.
